How do I start tapping?
Open a page from the address or search field (or tap “Try the Tap Lab page” to practise offline). Tap + on the control bar: a numbered target appears. Drag it onto the button you want, set the speed with the interval chip, then press Play. The target pulses on every tap and the bar counts taps and taps/s. Press Stop when you are done.
Why do taps only work inside this browser?
iOS does not let any app tap inside another app, so no auto clicker on the App Store can do that on its own. Tap Helper really taps, but only on web pages opened in its own browser. For everything else, iOS has Switch Control, and our guide shows you how to set it up.
How do I get automatic taps in other apps and games?
Use Switch Control, Apple's accessibility feature. Open the menu › Guide and follow the seven steps: add a switch, record a recipe with your taps, make it the Launch Recipe and turn on the Accessibility Shortcut. Then, in your app, triple-click the side (or home) button and tap the screen once to run the recipe. Practise your rhythm in Tap Lab first.
How do I turn Switch Control off?
Triple-click the side button (or the home button) to stop it. To turn it off completely, go to Settings › Accessibility › Switch Control and switch it off. The guide shows this on its very first step, and every step can be undone.
Why does a site ignore the taps?
The app taps with a small script inside the page. Browsers mark these taps as not coming from a real finger, and some sites are built to ignore them. Nothing is wrong with your device: try Double tap or Long press, or move the target a little. Some sites will simply never respond.
Why can't a target reach a box inside the page?
Some pages show parts of another website inside a frame (videos, payment forms, embedded widgets). For security, the browser doesn't let one site's script touch another site's frame, so targets over those parts can't tap them. Frames from the same site work.
How fast can it tap?
The shortest interval is 20 ms, about 50 taps per second; the longest is 60 minutes. At very high speeds the real rate depends on the page and your device, and the bar shows it. For safety, every run stops on its own after the Max run time set in Settings (60 minutes unless you change it).
Why did the clicker pause?
When the page moves to a new address, the buttons have moved too, so the clicker pauses and asks whether to Resume or Stop. It also pauses when you leave the app, because iOS stops web pages in the background. Nothing runs while the app is closed.
What does “Missed” mean?
A tap counts as missed when the page didn't accept it, for example because it was still loading or reloading. A few missed taps are normal; many usually mean the page changed, so check where your targets are.
How does auto-scroll work?
Turn on the scroll toggle on the control bar (Premium). Pick a speed (Slow, Medium, Fast, or Custom in pixels per second), a direction, and what happens at the bottom: Stop or Jump to top. You can still scroll with your finger at any time.
How do auto-refresh and “Stop when the page shows…” work?
Turn on the refresh toggle (Premium) and choose how often to reload, from every 5 seconds to every 60 minutes; a countdown appears on the bar. Type a word or phrase in “Stop when the page shows…”: after each reload, if the page contains it, refreshing stops with a sound, a vibration and a banner. Capital letters and accents don't matter. Turn on “Run targets after each reload” to tap again after every refresh.
How do I save, share and import scripts?
Tap Save script on the control bar to keep the page, its targets and their settings. Open Scripts from the menu and tap a script to go back to that site with its targets in place, paused. Free: one script. Premium: unlimited scripts, which you can share or import as .taphelper files. Only import files from people you trust.
What are presets?
Ready-made rhythms, with no game or brand behind them: Steady tap, Rapid burst, Double tap, Hold, Feed swipe and Refresh & watch. Use in browser places a target in the middle of the current page; Set up with Switch Control opens the guide with that rhythm. Steady tap and Double tap are free; the others are Premium.
What's the difference between Tap Lab and the Tap Lab page?
The Tap Lab page is a test page built into the app: open it from the start page to watch the clicker work, even offline. Tap Lab, in the menu, is a practice canvas for your own fingers: it measures your taps per second, your rhythm and its steadiness, so you can copy that rhythm into a Switch Control recipe. Both are free, with no limits.
What is free and what is Premium?
Free: one target with the Tap action, one saved script, the full guide, Tap Lab, the Steady tap and Double tap presets, and ads. Premium: up to 20 targets, Double tap, Long press and Swipe, the Sequence and Together modes, unlimited scripts with share and import, auto-scroll, auto-refresh, every preset, and no ads. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
How do I get Premium back on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, then tap Restore purchases in the app's Settings. You don't need an account with us. To cancel, go to Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad.
When do ads appear?
Only in the free version, and never inside the browser or while the clicker, auto-scroll or auto-refresh is running, so an automatic tap can never hit an ad. A full-screen ad may show before you press Play, use a preset or open a script, and small ad cards appear in lists and in Settings. Premium removes them all.
What permissions does the app need?
Just one: iOS asks whether the app may track you for more relevant ads, and your answer changes nothing else. The app never asks for your camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts or notifications. The guide's Open Settings button only opens the Settings app.
What does the app collect about me?
Nothing that identifies you reaches us: no account, no analytics. Your scripts, recent sites and settings stay on your device. Websites you open see your visit as in any browser, and Google receives ad data in the free version. The details are in the privacy policy in Settings.
